We are a renowned restaurant dedicated to providing an exceptional dining experience. We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Cost Controller to join our team. If you are passionate about maintaining cost efficiency and ensuring quality in the restaurant industry, we would like to hear from you.
DUTIES:
1. Ensure adherence to the restaurant’s cost control policies and procedures and recommend updates as needed.
2. Prepare regular reports on cost variances and financial performance, presenting findings to management.
3. Ensure product stock is adequate for all distribution channels and can cover direct demand from customers.
4. Collaborate with management to develop annual budgets and cost control strategies, ensuring adherence to financial targets.
5. Use software to monitor demand and document characteristics of inventory.
6. Implement strategies to minimize food and operational waste, including portion control and efficient resource management.
7. Analyze data to anticipate future needs
8. Evaluate suppliers to achieve cost-effective deals and maintain trust relationships.
9. Maintain accurate records of inventory levels, track inventory turnover, and assess the need for procurement or disposal.
Requirements and skills:
1. Proven experience as a Cost controller or similar position in a restaurant
2. Excellent knowledge of data analysis and forecasting methods
3. Ability to accurately track costing and create reports
4. An analytical mind with strong math skills
5. Excellent organizational and planning skills
6. Outstanding communication and interpersonal abilities
7. Reliable and trustworthy
8. BSc/BA in business administration. Statistics or relevant field.
